In her third book, Lilli Höch-Corona metaphorically invites us to make friends with all our feelings. Especially also with those that make us uncomfortable. With the aim, as King Archibald says in the book, “to be able to grow old relaxed and loved by everyone”. She has written a fairy tale in which a king who is not happy with his subjects sets out to find better subjects. What he finds instead is another king who has travelled this path before him and who, with great understanding, respect and empathy, accompanies him in rethinking and reshaping his own role in dealing with others.
A book to smile about all our shortcomings in places, and to give as a gift when accompanied with respect and empathy.
